He was a graduate of John Tyler High School in 1986. Upon graduating he attended DeVry Institute and received his Associate’s Degree in Electronics and he furthered his education and attended Tyler Junior College where he received his Associates Degree in Social Work.

Rev. Bell accepted Christ at a young age, September 13th, 1993 and preached his first sermon July 10th, 1994. He sat under the leadership of Pastor, E. W. Thomas, Bethlehem Baptist Church and Dr. T. L Dilworth, North State Baptist Church both in Tyler, TX. In May 1997, he was called to Pastor of Hebron Baptist Church where he pastored for 9 years. He was called to proudly serve as pastor of First Missionary Baptist Church in March 2006. Pastor Bell is the Dean in the South Texas District Congress, where Pastor A. C. Jefferson is the Moderator. He serves as the Recording Secretary for the Missionary Baptist General Convention of Texas, where the Pastor W. T. Glynn serves as President. Pastor Bell also serves as the Chairman of the Scholarship Committee in the South Texas District and the Teacher of Associate Ministers United for M.U.M.D.

Under the pastorate of Rev. Alessandro Bell, First Missionary Baptist Church has continued to grow numerically, spiritually and financially. Under his leadership 5 ministers have been called to the pulpit. The church purchased a new van, installed a sound system and DVD room, a new central heating unit and a fellowship hall dedicated to the late, Rev. F.M. Johnson. Pastor Bell has formed several ministries to serve the congregation of First Missionary Baptist Church. He instituted the New Membership Orientation Class to familiarize new members with the church’s history, pastoral policies, church ministries, leaders and services. The Greeter’s ministry was created to welcome visitors and assist other ministries and the congregation in various capacities. The Dollar for a Scholar’s program was established to promote monetary contributions to church members seeking a higher education. The Adult and Youth Praise Dance Teams and The Young Men’s Drill Teams were structured to demonstrate praise and worship in the form of dance and march respectively. Faith and Finance classes were implemented to instruct and guide members in their spiritual giving. After I Do (A.I.D.) ministry is designed to inform, inspire, and nurture marriages through biblical principle between husband and wife (male/female). Before I Do (B.I.D.) ministry is designed for single people who have never been married, divorced or widowed. This ministry is to encourage Christian single adults to be a witness for Christ while living a single life. Pastor Bell believes that Christians should be busy for the Lord. This belief led him to launch the M-25 and M-28 Street Ministry and Wednesday Night Live services to reach and teach on days other than Sunday. Other ministries that have been established under the leadership of Pastor Bell are the Sons and Daughters of the King, the Nurses Ministry, the Tribe Ministry and the reinstatement of the Junior Mission. It is with his spirit and vision that First Missionary Baptist Church purchased 6.5 acres of land at 2120 36th Avenue N. and moved into our new 13,000 square foot worship facility. To God Be the Glory for All the Great Things He Has Done!

Pastor Bell believes that as believers in Christ we should all exalt the Savior, Equip the Saints and we will be able to evangelize the sinner.

Pastor Bell’s favorite Scripture is “But seek ye first the kingdom of God, and his righteousness: and all these things shall be added unto you.” (Matthew 6:33)
