CHURCH ORDINANCES

1. BAPTISM:

Matthew 28:19-20-(19) Go ye therefore, and teach all nation, baptizing them in the name of the Father, and of the Son, and the Holy Ghost. (20) Teaching them to observe all thing whatsoever I have commanded you: and lo I am with you always, even unto the end of the world.

2. THE LORD’S SUPPER:

I Corinthians 11:23-29-(23) For I have received of the Lord that which also I delivered unto you, That the Lord Jesus the same night in which he was betrayed took bread:

(24) And when he had given thanks, he brake it and said, Take eat: this is my body, which is broken for you: this do in remembrance of me. (25)After the same manner also he took the cup, when he had supped, saying This is the new testament in my blood: this do ye, as oft as ye drink it, on remembrance of me, (26) For as often as ye eat this bread and drink this cup, ye so do show the Lord’s death till he come. (27) Wherefore whosoever shall eat this

bread and drink this cup of the Lord, unworthily, shall be guilty of the body and blood of the Lord. (28) But let a man examine himself, and so let him eat of that bread and drink of that cup.(29) For he that eateth and drinketh unworthily, eateth and drinketh damnation to himself, not discerning the Lord’s body.

When we asked Jesus Christ to come into our life, we begin a relationship with Him. That relationship must become the number one priority in our life. Jesus tell us in Matthew 22:37-38- (37) And Jesus said unto him, Thou shalt love the Lord thy God with all thy heart and with thy soul, and with all thy mind. (38) This is first and great commandment. And in Matthew 10:37-He that loveth father or mother more than me is not worthy of me:, II Corinthians 5:17 says, Therefore is any man be in Christ, he is a new creature: old things are passed away: behold, all things are become new”. There may be a question what old things are passed away? I Corinthians 6:9-11- Now that we have put or putting away the old things and are putting on the new, we need to hunger and thirst after righteousness, and we will be filled. Matthew 5:6 Jesus tells us in Matthew 4:4-“It is written, Man shall not live by bread alone, but by every word that proceedeth out of the mouth of God.” Also read, II Timothy 2:15- Study to

show approved unto God, a workman that needeth not be ashamed rightly dividing the word of truth. We must set aside some time to study God’s word, for it will be a lamp unto your feet and a light unto your pathway. Psalm 119:105.

Come to church on a regular basis. Hebrews 10:25- Not forsaking the assembling of ourselves together, as the manner of some is; but exhorting one another: and so much the more, as ye see the day approaching.
